Omelette bread recipe

I first cooked this quick and easy omelette bread recipe when I was living in a hostel. With limited ingredients, no patience to cook, and the constant hunger of student life, this omelet bread became my go-to meal.

It was the perfect solution when I needed something warm, comforting, and fast, especially on days when I had no other option to cook. To this day, it remains a favorite whenever I'm short on time but craving something satisfying.

Omelette Bread Recipe Ingredients

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 slices of bread

  • Salt (to taste)

  • Butter (about 1-2 tsp)

  • Chili flakes (to taste)

Let’s Get Started

  1. Prep: Crack the eggs into a bowl, add a pinch of salt and chili flakes, then whisk them well until combined.

  2. Butter the Pan: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt, coating the pan evenly.

  3. Toast the Bread: Place the bread slices in the pan and let them toast lightly for about 30 seconds to 1 minute on each side. Remove the bread and set aside.

  4. Make the Omelet: Pour the whisked eggs into the pan, swirling it to spread the egg mixture evenly.

  5. Add the Bread: While the eggs are still soft, place the toasted bread slices on top of the eggs, pressing them gently so they stick to the egg.

  6. Flip: Once the eggs are cooked on the bottom, carefully flip the entire omelet with the bread so the bread is on the bottom and the eggs are fully cooked.

  7. Serve: Fold the omelet over the bread if you want a sandwich-like effect or serve it open-faced.

Tadaa! A quick and easy recipe—perfect for when you’re out of time but need some relaxing, cozy food.
