I was never a salad person, and honestly, that hasn’t changed one bit. But over the last few months, I’ve become a bit more health conscious after putting on some weight, and now I’m on a mission to shed a few kilos. I often find myself inspired by my brother’s fitness regime his consistency and discipline are next-level. Meanwhile, I’ve tried to build my own routine, but let’s be real, I’ve failed spectacularly every time. All credit goes to my lifelong, unshakable love affair with food. Salad? Not happening. Pizza? Absolutely happening. But here I am now searching for recipes or creating ones that are yummy and supper healthy.
Chickpea Salad Recipe
Ingredients
A cup of boiled chickpea
1 cucumber
1 tomato
Black pepper
Salt
Coriander
1 onion
Half a lemon
Step by Step Preparation
Soak chickpea overnight or 4-5 hours before preparation.
Wash them with water and boil them till they are soft . I usually boil them in a pressure cooker.
After boiling, allow the cooker to cool down, till then finely chop an onion, tomato,
cucumber and coriander.
Drain the chickpea and mix with the chopped veggies. Add some salt, sprinkle black
pepper and squeeze half a lemon for that tangy flavour. Woah! Your salad is ready.
